The Best Of The Singapore Cocktail Festival

This Friday, leave your cars at home as the Singapore Cocktail Festival, held between 16 to 21 March, promises a celebration of delicious libations. At the 5,000-sq-ft Festival Village at 99 Beach Road, which opens from 16 to 19 March, immerse yourselves in workshops, bar tours, or a cocktail (or three) held over nine cocktail rooms, a food street and music stage. Here’s our pick of the event’s offerings:

The “Dreams” room presented by Monkey Shoulder, Hendricks Gin and Reyka Vodka

Art meets alcohol as each brand explores a different element of the dreams theme. Hendrick’s “Tastings In A Dream” is a virtual reality audio and visual rendering of a dream experience, while Reyka vodka will create a dreamscape inspired by its Icelandic roots. A series of cocktails inspired by each brand’s interpretation of the concept will be on sale to complete the experience.

The Artisanal Spirits Room

Here, visitors can taste unique, handcrafted spirits including Nusa Cana, the world’s first tropical island white rum inspired by Bali, and a unique selection of Vietnamese Son Tinh, handcrafted in small batches from natural ingredients and aged over many years. A $19 tasting card will buy you four 15-ml shots.
