Finally, a reason to return to the backwoods of the Seletar airbase area. Sited in what was once the home of the Royal Air Force’s Tech Wing Commander, The Summerhouse is an idyllic farm-to-table dining establishment that sees chef de cuisine Florian Ridder work with Singaporean and Malaysian producers to populate his refreshingly original menus.

 

 

At Wildseed, the charming café that overlooks the property’s edible garden, sip coffee brewed using beans from local roasters Nomad The Gallant while nibbling on cakes in delicious flavours like ginger flower banana loaf.

 

 

On the second floor, The Summerhouse Dining Room and Balcony Bar purveys exquisite tasting menus that demonstrate Ridder’s intelligent and graceful way with local ingredients like rambutans and kelong prawns.
